MACHU PICCHU FULL DAY
1 of 1Cusco - Ollantaytambo - Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Aguas Calientes - Ollantaytambo - Cusco
One day. A thousand lifetimes. (Subject to availability of Machu Picchu and train tickets) From the first light of dawn, the train winds its way through sacred rivers and guardian mountains, as if following the footsteps of the apus. Upon arrival, the Inca Sanctuary greets you wrapped in mist and ancestral energy. You’ll walk among terraces, temples, and mysteries carved in stone. By sunset, you’ll return with a soul full of magic, carrying in your chest the breath of the Andes and the eternal whisper of Inti, the sun god.
03:30 – 04:00 a.m.
Pick-up from hotel in Cusco In the quiet of the Andean dawn, we’ll pick you up and head to the Sacred Valley.
04:00 – 06:00 a.m.
Transfer to Ollantaytambo train station A ride through valleys and under starry skies to the departure point for the hidden city of the Incas.
06:10 a.m.
Train to Aguas Calientes (Expedition or Vistadome) A magical journey between mountains, mist, and the murmur of the Urubamba River. The landscape prepares your spirit for the sacred encounter.
07:45 a.m.
Arrival in Aguas Calientes Meet your guide. Short break for coffee or rest before the final ascent.
08:00 – 08:30 a.m.
Bus to Machu Picchu 30-minute ride through lush mountains. The mysticism starts to unveil through the morning mist.
09:00 – 11:30 a.m.
Guided tour of Machu Picchu Entry to the Inca sanctuary. Guided exploration of its key sectors: Intihuatana – Temple of the Sun – Temple of the Condor – Sacred Plaza – Ceremonial Fountains Spiritual connection with one of the world’s most powerful energy centers.
11:30 – 12:00 p.m.
Free time (optional) Time for meditation, photography, or simply contemplating the splendor of the “City of the Wise.”
12:00 – 12:30 p.m.
Return by bus to Aguas Calientes Descent to the village amid jungle aromas and birdsong. Time for lunch (not included) or a stroll through town.
14:30 – 16:30 p.m.
Return train to Ollantaytambo A relaxing ride accompanied by the river’s rhythm and the memory of the sacred city.
16:45 – 19:00 p.m.
Transfer back to Cusco From Ollantaytambo station, return to Cusco by tourist transport. Estimated arrival: between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. – end of a magical day.
