DAY 1

1 of 4

DAY 1 | CUSCO – KM 82 – WAYLLABAMBA

The adventure begins! Depart from Cusco and travel to Km 82, the official start of the Inca Trail. Today’s hike offers the first taste of the sacred path, surrounded by beautiful landscapes, Inca ruins, and traditional Andean communities.

Transfer to Km 82 (Piscacucho) Early morning pick-up from your hotel and scenic drive through the Sacred Valley, passing Chinchero and Ollantaytambo before arriving at Km 82.

Start of the Inca Trail – Miskay – Llactapata Begin your trek along the Urubamba River. Visit the archaeological site of Llactapata, where you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the valley and snow-capped peaks

Lunch at Tarayoc A well-deserved rest and your first delicious meal prepared by our trekking chef.

Wayllabamba Camp (2,950 m / 9,678 ft) Continue your ascent through lush Andean vegetation to reach your first campsite at Wayllabamba, surrounded by mountains and tranquility.

DAY 2 | WAYLLABAMBA – WARMIWAÑUSCA – PACAYMAYO

Today is the most challenging and rewarding day of the trek — ascending the famous Dead Woman’s Pass (Warmiwañusca), the highest point of the route, with breathtaking views of the Andean landscape.

Breakfast and Departure Begin the steep climb through cloud forests and high Andean grasslands.

Ascent to Warmiwañusca Pass (4,215 m / 13,828 ft) Take your time as you reach the summit — an unforgettable achievement with panoramic views across the Andes.

Lunch in Pacaymayo Valley (3,600 m / 11,811 ft) Descend to the Pacaymayo campsite and rest with a hearty meal prepared by your cook.

DAY 3 | PACAYMAYO – RUNKURAKAY – PHUYUPATAMARCA – WIÑAYWAYNA

An unforgettable day filled with Inca ruins, cloud forests, and stunning scenery. Today’s route is a true archaeological journey through ancient sites hidden in the mist.
Meals: Breakfast + Launch + Dinner
Stay: 1 Night Camping Tent

Breakfast and Start of the Trek Continue through the second pass at Runkurakay (3,950 m / 12,959 ft).
07:00 – 13:00
Visit Runkurakay, Sayacmarca, and Phuyupatamarca Discover three impressive Inca sites, each offering a deeper connection with the spiritual and architectural mastery of the Incas.
13:00 – 14:00
Lunch en route Enjoy lunch with spectacular views of the valley below.
14:00 – 17:00
Arrival at Wiñaywayna Camp (2,650 m / 8,694 ft) Settle into your final campsite, near one of the most beautiful Inca ruins of the trail — Wiñaywayna, meaning “Forever Young”.

DAY 4 | WIÑAYWAYNA – INTI PUNKU – MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO

The long-awaited moment arrives! Walk the final stretch to the Sun Gate (Inti Punku) and witness your first breathtaking view of Machu Picchu at sunrise.

Early Breakfast and Checkpoint Begin the last section of the trail under the stars.

Hike to Inti Punku (Sun Gate) As the sun rises, the first glimpse of Machu Picchu unfolds before your eyes — a truly magical reward for your journey.

Guided Tour of Machu Picchu (2,430 m / 7,972 ft) Explore the ancient citadel with your expert guide, discovering the main temples, plazas, and sacred areas.
09:00 – 13:00
Descent to Aguas Calientes (2,040 m / 6,692 ft) Walk down to Aguas Calientes, where you’ll have time to relax or enjoy lunch before taking the train back to Cusco. Return by Expedition Train and Bus to Cusco.
